Is anyone else with a CSat having a problem getting a signal lock on Tp 3740V and 4091V over on 103W AMC 1?  I'm not even getting a hint of a signal on these freq.

I'm using DVB-S with a 7/8 code rate and 3/4 cr respectively as listed in Rick's sat. listing.  I've tried other c/r also with no luck.  Also tried manually inputting the pids which are on the channel list also with no luck.

For DVB-S just leave leave it set at auto.  DVB-S2 you have to specify.

3740 signal is huge.
4091 is quite a bit weaker for me but it still comes in OK.

The usual reboot of the box didn't work this time. Guess I'm SOL.   Can't understand why I don't have signal on 2 transponders - both V.

Already verified servo motor operation is good.

I'm curious re how you know servo is working?  You don't say what receiver you're using to move dish and change polarity, but are the polarity settings the same as on other satellites?
Also curious whether you're seeing other V tranpsonders on the sat?  Other H transponders?
If no, are you sure you're aimed at the sat? Ie check that the actuator counts are between the adjacent sats?
Is your CS slaved to an analog receiver?   Are you sure the switch settings are the same as on other sats where things are working?  You might try tuning to some other sat where you receive a V transponder, and manually run the dish to the AMC1 position without changing sats on either receiver, then try to scan those transponders.

@ wejones - I've updated my signature so you can see what I'm running.  Also the answer to most of the questions you asked is yes.  I think it is something going on with my coolsat because when I was running the vantage a couple of months ago I was getting these freq.  Maybe when I get up later I'll swap receivers and put the Vantage in there just to see and that will clear up the question of whether it's my dish equipment, tuning issue or receiver issue.

good news.  I worked with the skew until I got it.  I was able to tune in the xponders I was asking about, but only DW / Punjabi / and Ant.1 channels came in on 3740 V.  I did not get THIS / MeTV / or MeToo.   Now if I could only get those I'll be all set.  What do you put in the audio part of a pid search when it has AC3 audio?

Nothing.  You can't manually set AC3 audio.  You'll only be able to get video on those three.  If you want them you'll have to pick them up off another satellite where they scan in OK like 87W

Ok bluzee thanks.  I did some topic searches last nigth after I posted the question and found alot of info on it.  Too bad they won't scan in.  I really don't understand why some AC3 channels will scan in but not others.

The channels themselves are not in the service tables.  The video and audio PIDs are in the stream, but not identified so the only way to play them is to manually specify the PIDs.  It doesn't matter that the audio is AC3 as far as scanning the channels in goes, AC3 is just a problem because there is no way to manually specify that the audio is AC3 and the receiver defaults to mpeg and then won't play the audio.
