Good evening everyone[wave]-- BLIND SCANNING - i just got my first picture tonight- sports-baseball Ion East-SD
SES 3C (103.1)W 3840 H 26680
question please-when i scanned i got 90% strength
                                                     44% quality
once the scan was done and returned to the previous page the system continued scanning
at the bottom of the page and the quality ended up being 82%
is that normal? to continue to scan -small problem- I was so excited- I forgot what buttons i hit on my octagon sx88 H.265. when i turned off my receiver.turning my tv screen back on i didnot display my picture -being over anxious i forgot how i got the picture in. again please help me. I will check for reply tomorrow.  my computor was down earlier wrong time of night very busy net at 5pm now 1am went through fast.

Congratulations on tuning in your first signal.
I'm showing ION at 3840 H 30000 and the only FTA channel as "ION Plus 16x9".
I don't have the Octagon sx88, so I can't tell you what buttons to push to view your scanned channels.

But I'm guessing that the Octagon blind scanned in all the signals on the horizontal side of SES 3.
The signal strength and quality will vary depending on which signal it is tuning at the time you looked at it.

Your channel list should include the following signals:

3720 H 30000 QVC FTA
3760 H 30000 Univision (All channels encrypted)
3840 H 30000 ION (Ion Plus 16x9 is FTA)
3924 H 2734 CTN and Lifestyle FTA
3928 H 3508 AACTV FTA
3935 H 5160 Tele El Salvador and three other channels FTA
3960 H 30000 InDemand (InDemand Slate is FTA)
4000 H 29270 Home Shopping Network FTA
4040 H 30000 ION (All channels encrypted)
4120 H 30000 Unimas (All channels encrypted)
4160 H 30000 Smithsonian/POP (All channels encrypted)

Hopefully someone will be able to tell you how to view them.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
