I currently have ver. 1.1.4 that came with the unit and had a 2GB micro card  installed and wish to update to ver. 1.1.6. after down loading and checking off the box to update the unit I get " update can not proceed, update package is to large, there is not enough space in the storage partition , please use a different update package with appropriate size "I have never updated or added anything to the wetek. were  and how do I get more space? Thanks

Hi jopta,

I would remove the micro card if you have not and try the update again.  If it still will not update, do a factory default to the unit first and then try again.

I just updated a unit with older firmware and it loaded just fine.

Good Luck!

Thanks,

Rick

You may not have enough free space on the NAND to perform the update.  Look at post #5 here.   http://rickcaylor.websitetoolbox.com/post/wetek-os-v1-1-5-for-wetek-play-ota-7505847?pid=1288047104

I have no experience with the WETEK's requirement but....
On similar platforms that use an SD card, the quality of the SD card can play a major role.
I have gone through three different SD cards on the rasberrypi. One no name, and two name brands. The first two sorta worked for a little while, but the third one was the charm.
Careful what ya buy and where ya buy it from, far as SD cards go.

Yeah
Class 10 mSD cards are recommended for this use.

Since i use OE for mSD, the bigger the better, as i use it also for storage.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
