95w
4197 H 36390

Are you sure this is correct?

I don't see any signal there on the BLSA scan.  Just a flat line.

Yes, the BLSA is similar to a spectrum analyzer.  36390 would show up as more than a blip.
It's more like a big fat blob.  It would be hard to miss.  But I saw nothing there tonight.

I've never found any DVB-S2X feeds.
I don't think whatever he's seeing on the Octagon was from satellite.
Maybe some type of IPTV stream?
The satellite mux info doesn't make any sense.

He said he's beta testing new firmware with blindscan so we'll have to wait for the public version.

Hockeynut it was tuner B and it said cpm it showed when the channel was active, dvbs 2x.
and blind scan is apha and locks up and misses a lot of tps and takes almost an hour to run when it does complete. They are working on bind scan now, and 422 may never come out they are making no promises but say they are looking at it.

Hey Chuckrcheese,

These are the same comments that I got from my Octagon rep.  As for now, 4:2:2 is not looking promising.  We will continue to inquiry and keep a positive attitude and see what they develop.

Most important is No Promises that it will ever do 4:2:2.  I have had some folks purchase the box in anticipation that it will soon do 4:2:2 and everyone has to realize that it might not happen.

We will continue to try and find a receiver that can, but right now, none of the manufacturers that I contact even have it on the drawing board.  [frown]

Thanks,

Rick

This sounds like software blindscan not a hardware implementation. Can't say I know how this works but wouldn't the manufacturer of the chipset make the drivers to enable this stuff available to their customers ?

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
