Just got my TBS 6922 card and a new Dell Inspiron PC. Installed the card but the PC doesn't detect it. When I installed it I thought I would see "new hardware" but nothing. Any ideas?

Enable PCIe 1.0 support in BIOS.

I don't see a place in BIOS (Windows 10) to enable PCIe support. In system information under PCI info it says all PCI slots are empty. TBS is in slot #1. Possible bad card?

I went round and round trying to make a 6922 work with a Lenovo Windows 10 machine.  Was going to throw in the towel and decided to buy an old Dell Optiplex Windows 7 machine and it works perfectly.

A lot of PC's don't even have the option of screwing around with PCIe parameters in BIOS.  Yes the Win7 machine runs a bit slower but it works.  Sure it's possible the card is bad but not probable.

is there already a PCIe slot active on that Dell motherboard? (for a video card/etc?)

if so, it probably doesn't support both slots being active at the same time for peripherals, only for dual video card. Ran into that problem on a Lenovo machine once.

Look like Dell disable PCIe 1.0 support for servers/desktops/notebooks latest 5 years. Usual CPU/chipsets support it, but Dell decide disable PCIe 1.0 detection in BIOS. This old story - many cx23885/7, saa716x-based not supported in Dell computers 😉

So, is there a TBS card that will work with my new Dell 3670?

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
