hi majortom  I remember testing atsc with you no? I recall it should decode EIT, but if my memory serves me right ETT was not parsed yet

Hi Jack,
yep that would be me. The ATSC EIT/ETT still works well, when the user's device is actually an ATSC tuner, tuned in to Over the air broadcast stations.
What I'm referring to in that thread are a few Satellite feeds that happen to be packaged up like a Terrestrial ATSC mux would be. But they were transported over Satellite and received by a DVB-S device.

BTW, to refresh, the only ATSC EIT/ETT that smart couldn't decode was the huffman encoded type. So far I only know of one station / network in the US and Canada (ION, in case anyone wants to know) that uses that option.

@vishvish: does the rc1 bda.dev work okay for you or the modified one? just making sure i've not messed up here (and your twinhan 1020a work okay too, there are some changes to the twinhan diseqc code as there were bugs there before so things might work better now).

@ jackjavo

sorry to say that your new rc1 bda.dev (diseqc  1.1) not working with dvbworld 2006 , and even crazycat.dev also not working

i am using your modified bda.dev for 2006 card , it is working

while . for twinhan 1020a , i am using WDM drivers , instead of BDA drivers , bda drivers donot work good with 1020 there will be signal fluctuation with bda , so i use wdm , thay are 90% better than bda , , your  software donot support wdm driver based cards , i think it needs special device module to work with twinhan 1020 ,

let  i give a try with bda drivers for 1020 a with your software , and inform you

BUG - well your new rc1 has udp stream option in tools menu , but it is not getting active , untill we go under setting and apply settings , but it is deactivate udp option from tools menu itself ,

thanks

@ jackjavo

i tryied my 1020 card with your software , it works by installing bda drivers , but not so good , slow switching the chammels and ports as well , and some times it hangs , it is same for all softwares , dvbdream and altdvb as well , so BDA drivers for twinhan 1020a not good , wdm drivers are super for this card , can you make a wdm device module for 1020 a

thanks

@vishvish: i actually tried to find info on making twinhan wdm drivers way back, i remember there were sdk's floating around but never was able to find a good one also for diseqc or some other info on how to write wdm for twinhan without sdk, even asked for it on forums but noone replied at that time, might have to do ofcourse with the fact that smartdvb was build quite later as some other apps which had the twinhan incorporated when it was more alive let's say...

yes i agree 1020a is bit old card .now cant find new devlopments or someone working for this famaly .but is a very good dvb s card . it served me good for more than 5 years still alive .

while one request . can you make a recording option on a video frame by clicking right click on the mouse to find the record option as same as dvbdream . i hope you do in next version

and while i am searching lot over the net to get channellist scanned by dvbplayers by our card to export the channel list to pain text .like transponder .channels .video pid .audio pid .pcr pid . respectivly

while once i used dbviewer to use smart dvb .db file to grab details but i failed

can we have some thing like channel list editor for smart which can export data to plain text or pdf

thanks

vishvish,
I'm pretty sure you can use sqlitebrowser to export the contents of any table in that database.
Have a look at this post on the smartdvb forum.

@ jackjavo

fine working your new bda.dev , for dvbworld 2006 card

well i am asking more .  can you impliment 3d viewing option in smartdvb like progdvb ,?

it is how progdvb has the option ,

if a channel is 3D then there is section box in channel properties , to select that , and 3d option is in setting menu for various 3D viewing methods , i seccusfully viewed 3D channel ( side by side )in progdvb in realtime , by anaglaph using red/cyne glasses

thanks

@vishvish: i have some ideas on how to do this for versions after this one, but will have to see first and make some tests ( think i might be able to use the old osd filter i made some time ago for that, but again, will have to test this)..good it works btw, so i probalby just made a mistake in adding the wrong bda.dev version when i made that test i sent to you...
