Well I remember those old tv techs from when I was about 10 years old. They came to the house when our B/W tv would not work on any of the three channels we got back then. They had a bag full of plug in tubes which they would switch out one at a time untill the tv would again show Sky King or Mr Green Jeans show. I am sure all those old techs are very dead now. None of my current FTA receivers have any plug in vacum tubes in them.

But U Tube is full of "how to" use a meter or fix a plasma tv ect ect ect. If one keeps trying to fix something in time it will finally really be broken. I just sent a shoe box full of vacum tubes to the land fill as they would not fit into any of my current FTA receivers. I wonder how many tubes it would take to build an FTA receiver?

Never throw it away--cause guys need stuff--a lot of stuff

Lot's of guitar amps still use tubes.  Can't beat the sound.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
