I had to replace a hard drive on the computer that runs my 7301 and upon trying to install the drivers I have an odd problem. The capture part comes up fine and shows the installed driver but the dvbs/s2 section shows a yellow exclamation point and when I attempt to install a driver it tells me the best driver i already installed. It gives a code 39 possibly corrupted. I have removed and reinstalled the 7301 after powering up and logging on with the card removed. I have tried to remove the driver in question but Windows refuses to allow me to do so.

Has any of you ran into a silly problem like this??  Any suggestions much appreciated!

Wayne

Not sure if this will help and think ( NoOne1) a member told how to remove the driver file that windows saves. You will have to do the search.

Here's my link about problems I was having.  I too use W7/64 ultimate.  I think the problem lies in some updates with this OS.  May just set up a Win 7/32 box .

look familiar?  I recommend trying loading it on another OS.

My driver version is 2.1.0.0. using w7ultimate too. Works fine.

I'll see if I can find the install disc later for that version of the driver and upload it for you. Tried googling for that driver version and couldn't find.

Is your machine using the latest updates?  I am using that driver with no luck so far as fixing the problem.

Yes. Maybe you need to uninstall the “new” driver and reboot pc. Usually there’s a tick box when you uninstall/remove driver to also ‘delete installed files’ for the driver. Reboot and make sure windows doesn’t auto install the driver for the card, if it does then the driver isn’t deleted

Thanks everyone for the ideas!  I will try to remove the drivers again with the 7301 removed and booted possible that the card had them tied up and this way I can remove the drivers and start again. The 7301 was working fine prior to the HDD fail.It just took a long time for DVB Dream to fully load because the drive was unresponsive a lot of the time.

Found the thread with the driver removal instructions. Thanks for directing me this route. My method doesn't seem to be gaining me much ground. I'll try his recommendations.

It looks like all is well with the 7301 now. After completely removing the drivers for the 7301 card I was able to reinstall the 7301 and add the correct drivers and after that all worked well kinda 😉    I had to troubleshoot the cable coming to the computer and card. My SuperBuddy shows no signal and it was right. A bad splice that got messed up when we cleaned the carpets was causing intermittent signal to the card. But after repairing bad cable and bad drivers everything worked fine!  Did have to reinstall DVB Dream to repair a stubborn video codec problem.   Thanks to everyone who took time to read and reply to my post!  I greatly appreciate all the help!

I'm glad you got it.  May try deleting drivers with card out of unit on my machine.  Keep these notes on hand as I've had it work a while and then go south.
