Just purchased the Dp-4 package and lnbs from Rick today. Have only 2 cables coming into the house so going to put a disecq switch at the feedhorn and keep the other line as a spare.Does anyone know if once this is altogether will the feedhorn cover fit over the Dp-4 with all 4 lnbs? Also got the small Octagon can hardly wait till it gets here! Thanks Rick for putting up with all my questions and emails.

Nope, the cover will not fit over that feedhorn.

So I guess it's not needed? Well maybe I can modify it? The cover. Ok thanks.

When the Dp-4 is all set up I should be able to get the 16aspk feeds still?

For sure that is a nice feed and lnb setup but it is still dependent on dish size and alignment as to what signals your receiver will be able to decode and display. How large is your dish (and quality of the shape) and are you well skilled at feed and dish alignment needs?

Was wondering if the Ku band would affect the ability to get the 16aspk if everything is tweaked properly?

Just my .02 cents from ny reading on this and having installed a WNC 4x8 on my corotor, if I had a DP-4 I would have 4 coax run into my home by receivers then Multiswitch/ use the 8 outputs for your receivers, etc. FYI only.

Hi Spot1, For those of you who got one (and myself), I think we did good. Sadly they are all gone and cannot get any more. Great units and they had a great price. When I found out Pansat (Linbox) had them, I bought all they had left and put them on sale at our store. I would of had more, but had 2 commercial clients in Mexico that grabbed up a bunch of them a few months ago.

What's the current alternative (next best) option to the Pansat DP-4 nowadays, if there is one?

I noticed an online seller who has two new different brand of these units but he wants $580 each for them. Rather than spend that much just for the feed casting I would just use two separate dishes. Remember that a Ku wave guide is about 3/4 of an inch wide. So to work well for Ku the dish must focus most of the signal into that small hole. Most large mesh dishes just are not that good at focus of signal.
