I decided to install the Kodi Plug In on OpenATV 6.2 and I'm happy to report it works great.

The SF8008 is reported to be the first Enigma 2 receiver to support hardware Kodi playback that uses Kodi's own media player.

Kodi loads fast and navigation is also very quick.  Video playback is smooth and the remote covers the needed functions for it.

To install in OpenATV 6.2 go to the plug in menu by hitting the green button on the remote or through the main menu.   Once in the Plug In menu hit the green button to download it under extensions.

Once Kodi is installed you can install Official Kodi addons from the repositories inside of it.  Official Kodi addons are considered legal in that they are providing access to free content that anyone can access through the internet without a fee.

NOTE:  There are also 3rd party addons and installing them is not recommended as they may contain links to pirated material.  Also there will be no discussion of 3rd party addons here.

Below are instructions for Official Kodi addons.

Setting up official Kodi plugins is actually pretty easy, given that you don’t have to setup the official Kodi repo yourself. You can use the steps below to install official Kodi addons on your FireStick, PC, Android, or Raspberry Pi.

  1. Launch your Kodi application.
  2. Head over to Addons.
  3. Click on the little package addon installation icon in the top left corner.
  4. Now select ‘Install from Repository’.
  5. Next choose the Kodi add-on repository -> Video add-ons.
  6. Click on the video you addon you wish to add -> Install.
  7. Wait for the ‘Addon enabled’ notification.
  8. Go back to your Kodi homescreen and click on Addons -> Video addons.
  9. Choose the video plugin you’ve just installed.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
