Again this morning at 8:21 central time I see a strong for it 12080 H signal at -44 dbm level. 11760 H perhaps at -33.5 dbm. The long necked cute animal in an enclosed room is gone and Kelly Ann a blonde is currently speaking. Always something to watch on these tp channels.

11990 H feed now live  with audio test under way.   ooopps went back to a fixed slate diplay--where is the parade?

Would expect to see several wild feeds on Greed Day parade routes.

Saturday at 3:22 in the early morning and 12080 H is lower power at -47.5 dbm and 110.7 db s/n here.
11760 H is up in power now -29 dbm in power leve and 18 db s/n. (remember when the power level is a smaller negative it is a stronger signal level)

4:40 AM
12080 H is -44.5 dbm.  12 db s/n
11760 H is -32.5 dbm.  18 db s/n
11985 H tp is fired up with night sky of large city street below--some where--  -46 dbm and 13.1 db s/n (less power level but better s/n shows up here) I think a weekend vacation spot in Florida is see here.

With my 120cm CM dish no signal at all on 12080 H. Haven't seen it here for a couple of days now.

still 14 dB on 11760 and 11880,  can't lock 12080 either on the Primestar antenna
Satsignature still says 12080 is ~ 6 dB down from 11760 and 11880.

14 minus 6, is 8 dB, which would be below lock for an 8PSK FEC 5/6 signal.
Never going to gain 1.5 dB tweaking a primestar Antenna that's already optimized.
Not wasting my time at least..

Guess this probes that a little bit bigger dish can be a good thing. I can always see that 12080 here.

Absolutely... Around here we can get ~ 16 dB on a good day using a commercial 1.2m dish on 11760 and 11880. 1.2 m is quite a bit larger than the Primestar is. So guessing best we'd see is ~ 10 dB under the same conditions (when 12080 is 6 dB down) using a decent 1.2m dish.

Sidenote: 12080 is up by ~ 1.5 to 2 dB per satsignature compared to post #40, and it's locking on the Primestar again, at 10.0 dB.
Still would not be enough to overcome just a modest rain fade if it was like that all the time.

In regards to "Primestars".....
pretty sure there are at least 3 different size Primestar dishes.

i have one i found back in august.

it's SMALL.......a 90m (stamped)
with factory lnb...

i can get 11760 H 30000 fine...very strong
but this dish will not pull 12080 H

It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
