I've had all kinds of issues with HDMI ports being taken out by lightning. In the past I never had anything zapped by lightning but these HDMI ports are very touchy it seems. I have a cheap Vizio TV and have had to replace the main board once already and now the replacement board got zapped the other day. So I'm on my third board, just make sure all the numbers match and it should work. I now unhook everything the second I hear a clap of thunder!

in 2017 we lost at least
a router
a sony smart TV that was a real trip. the tv repair guy tried to order a part which didn't fix it so I inquired and he was on his 2nd try with another Sony board. When that didn't work he gave up and said he was keeping the TV and I would not be charged for any of his failed attempts. It was a real mess. lots of ups and downs.
Also
the plate amp in a subwoofer someday I want to get another plate amp from maybe parts express. I think they are about as expensive as the actual amp assembly from Polk audio.
seems like more stuff zapped  I forget

one thing that seems to last forever is cheap pioneer and panasonic receivers
and even a pioneer TX-8100 AM/FM tuner I bought for cost at a job I held in the '70's It is still worth what I paid then. I have a dolby 3.1 and a 5.1  still ticking.. knock on wood. (walnut)

I'll let ya'll know next week when I install this thing. if it dont work I dont care thats when it all goes to recycle and we get a new TV

I do agree ---some Mfr needs to correct whatever makes HDMI's so weak.

You would have to take the back off and see if the numbers on your board match those in the listing.

habs,

Thank you for suggesting that I replace the main board. I got one from the TV Chop shop (Lansing MI) e-bay. It works 100%. It came quickly too.

THANK YOU !

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
