I figured since my questions are LinkBox specific this would be a better forum.

From another topic about music PIDs:

APID - Channel - Genre

7496 50’s & 60’s Hits (Classics & Decades)
7497 70’s Hits (Classics & Decades)
7498 Songbook (Pop)
7499 80’s Hits (Classics & Decades)
7500 60’s Pop Hits (Classics & Decades)

I entered the TP and then the APID (A stands for audio?) and then it's like another posting where it says 'fail', the screen goes blank, but then I get the music.

? It doesn't save the 'feed'? as radio but as a TV signal. Is that normal?

? I assume that I need to edit the way it's displayed on the menu to something intelligible, like 50's and 60's rock so I'll know what is what?, and

? I also assume that if I use the delete channel function I'm not going to be happy?

Thanks,

It's rare when I mess around with radio, so I don't know how much I can help. But I am wondering are
you getting the PIDs from Lyngsat? Aperently they work were ever they came from. Did you try Blind Scanning to see if that works?

Scanning won't work on those channels.  Manual PID entry must be used.  I don't own a Linkbox, so I'm not sure how that is done on the Linkbox.
You might look at the entries for the one audio channel that does scan in on that transponder,  ie channel 61 that has an APID of 4900, and see how the PIDs and channel names are entered.  You may have to enter a fake SID, which can be anything not used, but it's probably convenient to use the same number as the APID like was shown in a post in another thread.  I don't know why it's showing up as video, but again, you might learn the answer by looking at the entries for the channel 61.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
