@ Rick Cuyler
Rick this is one of those feeds I can't get with my Icecrypt 3750
I tried the Linkbox 9000i and it comes in, but the 3750 doesn't see anything?
I think it is a signal rate above 30000 problem of some kind?
Maybe you can check it out and see what you think?

Al

Thanks Jeff, I left right after I posted the above to go to a Mercer mens Lacross vs. High Point University game
So, been gone all day with other things and I'm just getting back. I'm sure it's too late to try your feed, but there will be others
I ordered a TBS5927usb from Rick to try on the ME with the test they are doing in that AZBox thread about it
And while talking with Rick I brought up that I haven't been able to get any 16Apsk feeds above 30000 with my Icecrypt 3750
And was/still hoping for a fix for the 3750. There have been several 16Apsk feeds with that 34285 SR, and I haven't seen any of them with the 3750
I have seen some 16Apsk feeds with 30000 and lower SR's. I know they came up with a fix for the ICE 1600 of some sort
Just hoping that something can be done with the 3750?
Anyway thanks for trying to help and sorry I wasn't here to check on it!

Al

Hi Al and anyone else with the ability to record streams of various feeds.

I am rebuilding my main PC that I use for playing and recording streams.  I hope to have it finished up today.  I had a system crash and had to reload everything, but upgraded to SSD drives and am currently enjoying the extra speed for everyday work. Finally got my 5925 TBS unit working again and used it on the NHRA 4:2:2 H.264 feed last night.

Anytime that someone notices or finds a feed that will not play on any of the receivers we offer, please try and capture a 2 minute .ts recording.  We will send it on to the engineers and see if anything can be done to help to get them to play.

It is different engineers for the 1600 and the 3750, even though they are both Icecrypts, they use different chip sets, thus the reason for different engineers.

This is my comment copied from another thread about a Hockey 16APSK feed that would not play on the Linkboxes or either Icecypts that we currently offer:
==============================================================

They also looked at the 16APSK streams that Chris provided for us that was for Canadian Hockey that neither of the Icecrypts we currently are offering could play and so far, they are unable to get either the S3750CHD or S1600CHD SE to be able to play them.

Here are the remarks from the engineers:

we checked the ts stream,bitrate is 102Mbps,frame rate:29.970fps.

normally,HD 1080 ch is 50Mbps,frame rate:25fps

I also sent the stream to Linkbox and they had the same problem and could not get it to play.

So for now, they cannot fix this with software.  Linkbox has pretty much given up on it for their current models.  Icecrypt is still trying to understand why they cannot make it work.
==============================================================

At that time, I thought I remembered that we were able to scan these feeds in on the 3750, but they would not play.  I could be wrong.  So I still need to try again myself and confirm.  The 3750 is supposed to have a Maximum SR ability of 45000.

So I found another response I got from Icecrypt and they did try it on a 3750, but could still not get it to play.

They wrote:

I’ve got the file.

We’ve been playing about with it today. It’s weird to say the least.

I can see it is obviously a multi-stream broadcast as when I play it back on a PC with VLC it shows me a room with a plug socket (see VLC image attached). The playback may stutter it’s hard to be certain as the image is basically static.

On this screenshot you can also see a tracking bar, this clears and the image is stable.

I can also play the file on the S3750, although it stutters, on this I see a hockey dugout (see 3750 image attached). Again there is a tracking bar (in line with the left most player) that clears after a few seconds, the picture then stutters.

I cannot get the file to be played back on any other receiver we have.
==============================================================

I will try to find and dedicate more time to some of these feeds again and keep working with the Icecrypt and Linkbox folks, but who knows what the Uplink Wizards and Feed Makers of N. America are going to throw at us next.  The feeds in Europe are generally not as complex and it is much easier for the receiver companies to make units and use a chip set that meets the needs of those types of feeds.  The streams that we send to them, they usually have not seen before and then it is a matter of if they can re-write firmware to allow the chip set being used to work on the feed.  We will continue to try and also continue to find a reliable company that will work with us to bring in a 4K receiver.  But for now, many of the various more complicated feeds, I have to use my Computer for.

Thanks,

Rick

what satellite?  I tried the normal two (91 and 105)and didn't find anything. If the answer is obvious, how can I tell next time?

Hi,

I currently don't have 16Apsk capabilities, but I'm curious. What size dish is needed for these and what is the fec and signal strength compared to 8psk feeds?

I can get these on a 1m, but the slightest passing rain shower knocks the signal down much worse than any 8PSK signal.  On my IceCrypt 1600, if the signal is above 67Q it plays fine.  If the signal is below 62Q the video breaks up too much to view.  I'm not sure about the FEC, I haven't updated the firmware to have it displayed.

ok, what am I doing wrong? I tried last night on AMC 15 and couldn't find the games. I just tried at about 1720 Eastern and the only KU stuff that a blind scan came up with was Macy's, TSN ( color bars and Masters) , and a third one. which I don't remember.  I checked the TP list for the freq and symbol and nothing is registering.  I have a 0ne meter dish and a linkbox 9000.

I'm in central Pennsylvania.

Thanks

can the linkbox do 16apsk? I don't have any other suggestions then being outside the footprint of the feed.
My meter dish gets them fine.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
