The data feed on Galaxy 17 changes frequency and SR frequently, but there is usually something there 24/7.
At this time it's at 12132 V 14000  DVB-S2 8psk 5/6 FEC Pilot ON.

The report was that there was just not enough traffic to justify keeping those 2 sats there at 79 W & 74W. They had more traffic over in the East so moving the sats was far easier and cheaper then launching a new one over there.

It appears that Horizons 2 is returning to 74W.

The FCC has approved Intelsat's request to move Horizons 2 from 85E to 74W.
It should take about three months for Horizons 2 to arrive at 74W.

I wonder what the deal was with this plan? Intelsat didn't go through with the move from 84.9°E to 73.8°W that was supposed to begin on January 24, 2020, and the STA for the move has since expired.

It looks like they have reapplied.   The application was accepted on June 12, 2020.

Thanks. I didn't notice the June date on the application. Under the "other filings related to this application," there's a letter from Intelsat stating that they don't expect to begin the drift to 73.8°W until August 2020 at the earliest.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
