I have three 16apsk capable tuners.....tbs  5922se, tbs 6902, and tbs 6982.

I use smartdvb and crazyscan. I also have openbox s10 (but cant go that high) and osmini sat receiver E2.

I cant get anything to lock the 3740 V 52096 signal on G28...I have run a straight line from dish to tuners...no switches etc. I think I have plenty of signsl because I can pick it up on crazyscan but wont lock it. SMartdvb wont lock it...all tuners have latest fw. Is there a SR limit somewhere in these?

Any help is appreciated....none show any signal at all but crazyscan plot shows it clear.....will post scan in a minute.

thanks in advance!

In linux I had to change the max symbol rate from 45000, to 65000 to just get past
the ioctl error. That is what I did on the prof7500 (bumped it in stv090x). However as you know the Prof 7500 doesn't do 16APSK. But at least I could see it tune, get the CNR, parameters report and get a good constellation.
Other devices that use the same frontend in linux would benefit from the same.
Dunno anything about windows.

My TBS 5925 will lock it, but it apparently can't handle the 166 Mbps bandwidth and won't scan in the channels properly.  Just thousands of garbage pids.

My TBS 6522 won't lock the signal.

Icecrypt locks this with no issues.  Qualifier:  Mine requires a blindscan to receive.  Icecrypt will not allow you to manually input a symbol rate that high.

Its been discussed before but the Linkbox 9000 will also scan the mux in and show a good picture but the problem is it will just randomly power off and reboot. It may go 5 minutes between cycles or sometimes only 30 seconds. You also can't select other channels in the mux without locking up the receiver.

The 5925 uses serious transfer so is limited to 108mbps where the 6925 uses parallel transfer therefore limited to 270mbps.

So to answer someone else's question. It's not that the demod is limited by the Sr it's more likely the datarate is the issue here

The 5927 should be able to handle it though. It looks like it's parallel. I have to look to ensure I'm putting the driver in single tuner mode though. I don't think I am. Which will limit it. I'll fix it if it's not.

Is  the transfer rate keeping it from showing signal or an unsupported SR?  I would think it would atleast lock the tp or show signal before channels were scanned in....but i may be wrong...anything you can do is much appreciated!!!

Unfortunately my development boxes are both down right now so I can't confirm. You would think that it would lock but would just have tons of continuity errors or something. Or buffer overflow. Something right.

The demod itself is only guaranteed to 45Msps but is in theory capable to 67.5Msps. as I read it it's more of a quality control thing. If during testing the demod won't lock 40Msps then it's tossed out. But if it will lock 40 but not 55 then that's ok

My TBS 5925 will lock the signal, but the bit rate is too high and it won't scan in the channels correctly.  Just thousands of garbage pids.

My TBS 6522 won't even lock the signal, so that seems to be some other problem.
