I would love to have another of those "bird" dishes but my chickens requires I be home by dark. That total road trip is near 2,000. Who would put  my chickens into bed if I am out of town for that long? I have plans to make my bent up Birdview dish in the chicken yard into a chicken merry go round soon. Please some one give a good home to that very special and very nice dish. I have a solid one setup here just for Ku service. Still I could use a second one too.

I believe some one else recently posted a picture of a dish like this one. I found this one just 20 miles from me last week. Still not sure if the owner has any interest in selling it. So not gonna give away the location until I am its next owner. Any one know what brand of dish this is? It measures about 8.5 foot across the face and I think it is a spun metal material. Not perfect but good enough to find a home in my yard.

Not yet sure if the present owner wishes to let it go. They are the original owners and remember how much it costs back when and their house just burnt down 1.5 years ago. They have a new house there now and have had Dish and got tired of that. I offered to  either buy the larger dish or show them how to get it running again for the FTA feeds. So far I have no feed back for either choice. I will send a letter in a few days and make a dollar amount offering to see if that gets them in the mood to sell. But yes it is worth a few dollars to me to be its new owner and care taker of that old but still nice dish.

Here's another Birdview dish looking for a good home:

https://southjersey.craigslist.org/app/d/vintage-birdview-huge/6208853256.html

It's in Vineland, NJ.
You got to love this quote "NOT looking to give it away, and not looking to sell it for scrap. Looking for a reasonable offer from someone who wants to use it for what's it's intended for."
(emphasis added)
It leads me to believe that there's a good chance the seller is also a forum member.

The whole thing could use a good cleaning, and a coat of Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer and a top coat on the mount and pedestal, but looks like a great dish.
I don't see an actuator or an integrated motor in the mount, so is this an old G5 fixed dish??
Could an arm for an actuator be added easily?

No one? If 100 of us go in together, that's only $790 each, and I will graciously store the dish at my place. [biggrin]

Founds this locally, free if I (disassemble, etc) and pick it up. She didn't have any information about it and does not have any other pictures [frown] any idea what kind of dish this is? I asked her via phone if it had a motor and she didn't know. She said they hadn't used it in 25 years. I said yea, but even when you did use it, did you remember it moving back and forth (motorized?) and she didn't know. I don't want it if it's a fixed mount and not polar....

It's about a 90min drive one way for me. Plus lots of labor to take it down...

can anyone here identify this one? Thanks in advance!

Its a Unimesh Buttonhook.Pretty good performer.Have 1 here that my Octagon pushes around.Very comparable db readings from other 10 foot mesh dish`s in the yard.

Ortho feed makes that dish shine.

I can just comment it looks like a good one. If you have a friend to help and a pickup truck, you could probably bring it back in one piece, just drive slow on the back roads. that 90 min drive might become a 3 hour drive, but you'll save yourself that 3 hours taking it apart and putting it together again. I took my first 10 footer home that way.

I guess I'm just concerned that it's going to be a fixed mount and not one I can attach a motor to. I don't have any 'shop skills' to make my own polar mount. Is that a possibility that it would have a fixed mount?

call her back and ask for a picture of the back side!   It's probably rigged for a motor

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
