FYI: They always play movies every night.. not just on saturdays... IF your up late. ;--)
and some english shows as well... and most movies are in english every night.

I hope this america / cuba deal doesn't ruin my dang cubavision...
But.. it was needed to be done... it's been over 60 years.. let it go jeez usa.
I think they learned there leason.. I'd say. time to move on.

Good to know that and thanks for chiming in with some humor, I enjoyed and got a chuckle out of it.
I keep trying to get my dedicated KU dish going and always get sidetracked.
Here i go again.

Well finally figured out this Satellite AV sat dish bracket..[confused] (never seen another like it)  but now seeing down far enough to get Hispasat at my location with tons of oak trees all around is going to be quite another story.. It's all part of why I don't got it done yet.  Well now,  I can't figure it out sitting here so I must go back outside to my sauna ( i mean backyard)  and see what I can figure out.

How could I "let it go"Aimasat? My grandfather did not support communism, so he was placed on a firing range and shot by this oppressive Castro regime. Now Cuba remains set on their believes and the only reason they want relations is to get to our American money.

very respectfully to both turtleman and aimasat we should probably leave this discussion here and now with no further responses.  This isn't really the place for political debate.

So back to satellite tv talk, is cubavision a SD or HD channel?

Just curious about that but after scouting a prospective location for my fixed ku dish at Hispasat I don't think it's gonna happen.  Dish has to be too low ( completely vertical)and I have way too many trees.  and the tree's that I don't have, all of the surrounding area has.  I think my best try at cubavision will be on the bud since it is on a tall pole and sticks up 10 or 12 feet up off the ground.  I havn't worked with it since the positioner went out months ago but I just got a new one last week from Rick and need to go put it on so I can get back to playin around and see how far down I can get with the bud. I hope i can see it.

So turtleman do you know if Hispasat Cubavision channel is in HD?

I mentioned in post #5 that there are movies on every night on Cubavision. generally they start around 12:20am eastern and go to about 6am. Sometimes they have a before midnight movie. I have neither the time nor inclination to do the whole weeks schedule. They also show commercial free television shows(right now they're going through "Vikings" and "Sleepy Hollow")

heres this weeks offering
11:30pm ?????
The Art of War II: Betrayal (Video 2008)Wesley Snipes, Lochlyn Munro, Athena KarkanisAgent Neil Shaw is called out of retirement and finds himself in the midst of a plot to assassinate several leading Senators with himself set-up to take the rap for a recent killing.
Forest of Death HONG KONG

Sunday afternoon ~3pm
5 Flights Up (2014)Diane Keaton, Morgan Freeman, Cynthia Nixon  A long-time married couple who've spent their lives together in the same New York apartment become overwhelmed by personal and real estate-related issues when they plan to move away.

Sunday night ~11pm
How Do You Know (2010)Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson  After being cut from the USA softball team and feeling a bit past her prime, Lisa finds herself evaluating her life and in the middle of a love triangle, as a corporate guy in crisis competes with her current, baseball-playing beau.
Rogue Trader (1999) Ewan McGregor, Anna Friel, Yves Beneyton, Betsy Brantley. The story of Nick Leeson, an ambitious investment broker who singlehandedly bankrupted one of the oldest and most important banks in Britain.
Black or White (2014) Kevin Costner, Octavia Spencer, Gillian Jacobs, Anthony Mackie. A grieving widower is drawn into a custody battle over his granddaughter, whom hehelped raise her entire life.
