Hi Starman345,

I wonder if the software's Crazy goes also for  TBS 6925 
although TBS already has a BlindScan Tool? It seems that this tool has the same author and it addresses many cards,including TBS 6925? Is that true?Thanks.

I don't know if this thing's going to help me find any new Sats there Zarman, but it does really good scanning of S2 which lately has been a little anemic for me to say the least.

Here's how you keep the window open.  Go to Start Menu, Go to run.  Type in the field    cmd /k   

You'll need to cd to the directory of the executable and type blscan.  This "k" switch will keep the window open, letting you scroll and browse results.  

There may be other shortcuts etc, but this works.

CrazyCat can better answer your questions, maybe  he will offer some comments here..... as far as I know TBS 6925 is not supported and CrazyScan and BLScan are not related to the TBS blind scan tool.

Starman, thanks for the info about different ini files, I was running blscan by double clicking the exe within Windows Explorer rather than using the command line. Shortcuts are now set, thanks!

The S2s I scanned were real channels.  I guess they can write it for whatever they want.  After all it is FREE and you don't have to use it.  Maybe they want to sell THEIR cards...LOL.  You're asking the wrong person those questions, but my prof card sure works well.

Where they new channels you didn't get before, or known S2 channels from Lyngsat? If new, which ones in particular? One of my cards is Prof 7301, I do want to figure out if this package is useful.

Maybe its flagging some odd modulation or system as S2, I notice this a lot when I scan in Linux when it finds the internet transponders.

In CrazyScan after doing a scan,  click on one of the peaks and a blind scan will take place and return some information, also a constellation graphic will be drawn. If the signal is QPSK there will be four clouds drawn in the graphic, an 8psk signal will have eight clouds in a circle, 16apsk will have twelve clouds in a circle with four clouds inside that circle.
I know some people aren't aware of this, probably the documentation was a little skimpy on detail in this area.

For USALS need set correct lattitude, logtitude and satellite position.
And motor must have proper USALS support  - like STAB H-H, Powertech DG240,280,380.

Support for Prof 7500 depend from driver. Current drivers have bugs in I2C-access BDA drivers extension. ReadThenWrite command work for EEPROM  reading (i use it for read MAC-address in my soft), but Read, Write commands no work for demod/tuner access. So - driver vendor must fix it, if possible.

Future TBS-designed devices on STV090x demods can be supported. For example - 'not released' TBS6925 v1.x, Prof 9000 (NIM with STB6100/STV0900AAC and CX23885 PCI-E bridge). Or "mistique" Prof 7700/8700 (AdvTune) as 'upgraded' version Prof 7500/8000 (new NIM with STB6100/STV0903BAC).

'Pre-release' TBS6925 v2.x (NIM with STB6100/STV0900AAC and SAA7160ET PCI-E bridge) will be supported, if vendor publish BDA driver extension info (diseqc support, I2C-support).

But current TBS devices based on TDA10071 demod (6921,8921,QBox3) have internal driver BlindScan-support, and this devices can be supported in my software (restricted support, only BLScan).

Another devices with modern demod Montage DS300x can be supported, but in far future Geniatech HDStar (and ODM), DVBWorld (and ODM), Tevii/Jacktek (hardware designed by Turbosight/Tenow).

P.S. Right now all versions STV090x supported (and tested with Omicom S2 cards with STV0903BAB/BAC and STV0900AAC). But new demod version 3.0 can be present on all supported devices (TT S2-1600, Prof 7301/8000).

P.P.S. But spectrum analyser work slow on new STV090x version 3.0 (2-3 times slow). So version 2.0 chips (STV0903BAB in supported devices) best choice for this applications.

Let me show you practical results instead of complaints and demands...
1. tuner: 7301
2. os: win7x64
3. satellite: Eutelsat W2A 10 E
4. range: 10 700-12 700 with step of 4Mhz
5. time of scanning:
- pol. H 11 min.
- pol. V 13 min
6. 85 records written in "ini" file 
7. scanned in dvbdream within 8 min

so 10E need scan in 2 intervals (4 in BLScan):
