I was having difficulties getting the IIHF hockey feeds on AMC 15 (105W) but was finally able to get them by changing the satellite location in the Linkbox to 104.5W.  I can get several satellites from 30W over to 125W and sometimes 127 or 129 if there's anything there so my dish is at least close to being spot on, I think.

My dish could be off b/c I did have a few difficulties setting it up. The first one was trying to swing it in small enough increments to settle on the sweet spot. The second was I lost signal strength while tightening the U-bolts. I tried guessing what was happening and adjusted accordingly. Any words of wisdom here would be appreciated.

Before I go and mess with it, is there a best time of the year to adjust a dish? The satellites move around in space? and the earth wobbles. etc...is there a time where every thing lines up or is periodically adjusting a dish just something to get used to?

Sounds like ur azimuth is off gittist.I had this same issue not so long ago with my motorized 90cm Ariza.Pole mount was still plumb but I could see the U bolts connected to the clamp had moved.Possibly the wind or could have been me bumping into it.These poles that come with the stamped steel dishes are very thin gage so it does not take much to rotate. This is the first place I would check. Also you can change the longitude settings in the receiver to help narrow this down.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
