When I am on a single sat scan menu for Galaxy 19 I see 097.0 locked in the bottom right hand which makes sense since G19 is at 97 West.

The same screen for SES 3 at 103 shows 069.0 locked?

Most don't say anything even though I'm getting several feeds/channels several of which show a Signal Intensity and Quality of 98.

What exactly does 'locked' mean for this STB?

Hi,
I have noticed this with all my Linkbox units (8000 & 9000). The lock means that Sat. has a strong enough signal to lock in all its' tp.s on that sat's data list. Sometimes the Linkbox see a sat and has only partial information in the software and fills in the blanks with miss information.

Future Projects: 9'-10' Stainless Steel solid dish I have a lead on, not sure which receiver to pair it up with yet, but I want it to be the best one available by then.  Not sure on LNBF nor motor either.  All of this is a learning experience.

Both my Pansat 2500A and 9200HD did that (which I don't use any more). My Linkbox 9000i Local of course does. Every time I see it I kind of think of Star Trek. It's a good thing to get a lock. I thought all receivers did that. All I ever had is Pansats and Linkbox.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
