after spending 2 days working on on my 1m dish and sg2100 motor setup, here are some results from amc 1 ku. i still have some fine tuning to do,but, maybe next weekend. the lnb on the dish has absolutely "0" skew to achieve these results!

this is after i had to modify the mount inorder to get the dish and motor to work together and also to remove some stress off the motor.

Hockeynut:
i dedictaed the primestar to amc 1 ku today and tweaked it as far as i could. best i can get on the primestar is a 67 quality on the nbc-s2 feeds. i have also worked on the 1m dish and can most of the time get 82 quality on 11740 and high 70's on the other 2 nbc muxes. i'm on vacation this week and i'll have a day or two that i can try more tweaking.

Mack, in your sig it says the Primestar is an 84e and in your post you say it's a 1 meter. Which one are you using?

Edit...I guess if I had read the post just above it would have answered my question. With an 84e upper 60's are respectable numbers for NBC. For the 1 meter you should expect just a little more...I would want mid to upper 80's. With my 1.2 my numbers are similar to Hockey's...upper 90's and I have seen 100 before.

after more tweaking today this is the best i can get for nbc channels on amc 1 ku with the present setup. i think the dish is just too heavy for the sg2100 to get it any more tweaked as i have it now. i did have an 87 quality at 1 point, and then it dropped back to 77 and i believe it's just stressing on the motor to hold it in place.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
