Thanks, given the solar outages that sometimes coincide with the beginning of the Met broadcasts, I was curious when these theaters would be blacked out. I also got a little concerned that some theaters use a recompressed feed on an Echostar bird. Several friends around the country have asked for a recommendation for the best theater to see the operas and up until now I had assumed all were getting the AMC 5 feed. |

Sorry but the subtitles on I805 were in Spanish. I buy a Toshiba e-sata hard disk (560GB) and e-sata cable for my Pansat 9200 at Best-buy store. It works perfectly and no problem with HD recording. Just follow the instructions provided in the Pansat 9200. |

Reply with quote | #34 | The refeed was a welcome sight for sore eyes. I couldn't watch the whole thing, but all my receivers had zero BERs and perfect transport streams throughout. The CNR was huge at the beginning which meant I didn't bother measuring it. But the carrier started fading, and before the second intermission I was getting a little nervous. Skies were blue here in Colorado. Perhaps they tweaked something during the second break, because the carrier level went up suddenly on both dishes. Great show and happy camper.
Minor correction to earlier post: I apparently missed that the AMC 5 12100 feed for Turandot had a single transport stream discontinuity for Turandot on Saturday. This was identical on two separate dishes. |
