Perfect, thanks.

Your welcome.

Upgrade went smooth and fast.  Also ATSC Live TV works just as good as before and it seems channel change is slightly faster.

If OpenELEC included mediatomb  you can use that to stream live TV to your smart TV's with DLNA should you have one or more of those already.   I kind of don't think they include it though.  Otherwise all you need is another plain Wetek  at your other TV's to hook up to the TVH server on the one with the S2 tuner.   That's nicer any way as your EPG will come through.   Laptops, tablets etc.  can hook up to TVH with most any media player such as VLC  etc.

It seems like there is so much you can do with the Wetek so maybe it's possible.  Since it has Aptoid you could download something like Airwire for UPnp/DLNA in Android.  The Android image even has Samba installed.

I know there are some working on Enigma 2 for it and Wetek is giving them support in their forum.  They state there is much work to do on Enigma 2 yet but they have some screen shots and a video already posted in the Wetek forum.

I'm not sure what kind of access you can get to the live TV stream in Android. That would all depend on what they do with their software, but there is no reason they couldn't stream it out over the network.  I've used a few Android DLNA apps, but nothing I've seen so far would  serve out an http URL as a media item..  There may be some way to do it though.

I replied to your e-mail and you can send your SR1 back that you purchase back in April of 2014 and I will give you a full refund.  I don't want to trade for a WeTek, as you might not like it either.

It still needs software updates to make it a better satellite receiver.

ps - I still like my SR1.  Best blind scan STB I own.

With the testing of the ATSC Tuner being in the early stages, they have yet to manufacturer a whole lot of them.

I was told today that they only had about 12 of them in stock and now that it is working well with Openelec firmware and they are reworking WeTek Theater, they are planning on getting them into production.

I am sure it will take a little bit now that the Chinese New Year has just started, but I have put my order in for 100 of them.

We have been able to lower the price on the WeTek Units without the S2 Tuner to 101.00 and to 116.00 with the S2 Tuner.  Both prices include shipping in the US.

Please note that the WeTek Theater, which is the firmware to operate the unit as a satellite receiver is still in the early stages of development for us in N. America and stills needs improvement.

Anyone that has already purchased one of the units is entitled to either a refund or a store credit on the difference of what they paid and the New Lower Price!

Thanks,

Rick

Will WeTek work with a VPN Tunnel so you can watch UK and Canadian tv channels.

Thanks Tom

There is VPN support in OpenELEC from what I have seen. Also there is an app in the Wetek store for Android called Shellfire VPN which I posted a link to below.  I haven't tried any of them but they should work.

http://wetek-app.store.aptoide.com/app/market/de.shellfire.vpn.android/23/8324679/Shellfire%20VPN

There are many UK channels that work without the need of a VPN and there are also some Canadian channels as well.

It is not very hard to use at all.  If you can post here than you can use it no problem.  The Wetek Play is a great affordable multimedia box that does quite a bit for such a small price.  It will turn any TV into a SMART TV.  I already have a SMART TV and I hardly even use the TV's features since I received my Wetek.

I think I'll order one tomorrow-its only $100 and play around with it.

I miss satellite TV, I had a 10 ft dish for years but moved to a condo and am facing the wrong direction.

Internet TV is okay but some pictures are not very good. I have Netflix and I discovered they stream different movies in the different countries using my VPN Tunnel. Lots of UK free channels too.

I'll probably need some help setting up the WeTek down the road.

Thanks, Tom

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
