http://rickcaylor.websitetoolbox.com/post/nascar-4k-8465832?highlight=video+card&trail=30

and wanted to know if it would fit in his machine or if not if someone had a recommendation for a good 4k card that would fit his machine.

Did a little more research, looks like the GeForceGT730 2GB made by PNY is what Best buy is saying and it fits the dx4860...If any one knows a better brand let me know?.Thanks....PS what I have nowbuilt into mother B. Is about1/2 GB,

From what info I can glean about that motherboard it appears to have an available PCIe x16 slot for a video card.  Any current PCIe x16 video card will fit. Just need one that supports HEVC gpu decode. You'll need to consider the the amount of power some of these cards require and the size of your current power supply.  A power supply upgrade maybe required.

These are fairly expensive options to get HEVC.  A much cheaper route is to get a WETEK with the S905 processor.  Tune the satellite on your old machine and then stream it over the LAN to the WETEK which is connected to the TV.

That GTX 1070 is a $570 card here. I think a WETEK HUB is just over $100.

For 4K???  I don't think so!  I think you need at least to get to a GTX 950 or GTX 960.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but especially with an older computer, the video card's GPU will have to do most of the work, and I think anything below a 950 will not work.

You can get a single fan EVGA 1060 that would fit. Could be had for $235. Not sure that it wouldn't be overkill for that old machine though. I built a AMD A10 apu machine a coulpe of years ago just as a basic machine for cheap with a x88 chipset. Just last month I added another 8 gigs of DDR3 2133 memory for a total of 16 and put a GTX 1060 in it and have no problems with 4k sat using a TBS 6903.

Try this. If it don't work time for a bigger uprade. If you are only running a couple of gigs of DDR3 1333 you may have problems.EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING, ACX 2.0 (Single Fan), 6GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC), Only 6.8 Inches Graphics Card

I bought a GTX 1050ti a couple months ago. Very little power needed to run it. I also does most of the work for the 4K feeds. My CPU runs between 25 and 28% watching 4K. Not really that expensive either. Worth a look. I'm running an Amd dual core 2 duo, 8 gig ram, windows 7 pro.

It don't draw alot of power but you will need a 6 pin power connector for it. Or do like seefoo and get a 1050Ti runs off the PCIe slot no power needed. I have heard good reports from it also. I chose the 1060 because of the higher bandwidth but again your PC might not be able to take advantage of it.

Stevie, I'll try one last time to warn you that anything less than a GTX 950 will not process the 4K stream on the GPU.  So while your computer running the 730 may be CAPABLE of processing a 4K stream, your CPU usage will almost certainly peg at 100% or nearly that, and your 4K video will be pixelated or dropping so many frames as to be unwatchable.  In my humble opinion, you will have wasted your money.  I will not comment further, since I do not want to be disrespectful of you.  I am simply trying to keep you from making a mistake, but it is not my place to do this.  Best of luck in whatever you choose.  I will back out now.
