They are cheap enough just remember they have a learning  curve to get through and no remote control devices. I saw today that at least one of mine here appears to have lost its battery. All of this DCII models below the 6000 models are getting very old now. I guess if you just have one unit then keep it plugged in all the time to help lighten the low for the battery. I would avoid the 4500X model as they are a little bit fussier to mesh around with. But they too still work alright although you will suffer more hair loss if you buy one of them. I got two of them first and now my hair line stops above my eye brows. Still have some inside my ears and nose though. Look at your models manual for the flow of the menus and how to  get between the needed setup screens. I just had to "relearn" this the past 2 weeks ago. Men are from Mars and these Motorola DSR receiver are not from planet earth either. Best of luck with learning how to use them. (I charge $25 "a minute" for advice on how to set up there units)

I own both.  The 4402x boots a lot faster.  But, that is about the only plus side over the 4410.  You have to know the Channel #'s on the 4402 to pull in a channel.  A pain in the arse to have to manually cycle through all of them.  You have to rely on Lyngsat's accuracy or the kindness of others if you don't want to hunt and peck through the channel #s.

With the 4410, all you have to do is enter the frequency, and then you scroll through the available mpeg streams.  Much much simpler if you want to search for new unpublished stuff.

I am getting my cables in the mail today, so ill be able to hook up both DSR units simultaneously.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
