Just added Diseqc v1.2 and v1.3 support. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you. I dont use either so I havent tested it much.

Set you long/lat up in settings->adapter. note that Long in the west is negative and in the east its positive. Same with Lat, north of the equator is positive and south is negative.

So for Edmonton where I live my cords are

Lat: 53.7
Long: -113.5

to goto 91.0w use -91.0 as the position.

You can have both v1.2 and v1.3 setup at the same time if you want. Keep in mind that fine adjustments are a v1.2 cmd.

IMHO there is no DiSEqC 1.3 and besides, DiSEqC is a proprietary protocol developed by Eutelsat

k, well not where where your going with this.

Most people equate v1.2 as gotox and v1.3 as usals.

It may be a proprietary protocol but at least its well documented.

can the top of the graph window be moved a little, without changing the Y axis scale?
Might let a few markers fit in better when the rf scan approaches the top scale?

I don't know if this has been discussed before,
When doing a blind scan on satellite without a spectrumscan first the frequencies seem to be further off;
actually some will not respond to the tune button. Your little blue stars above the peaks in spectrumscan
are actually closer then just the blind scan. Do you incorporate those peaks as starting points for your blindscan?

You say Qwt forces float on their QwtPicker. Could you change the frequency on the picker to be Ghz and float the
last 3, i.e 12.152 Ghz instead of 12152.xxxx Mhz. The X label axis at the bottom could be that way also.
You may have already thought of it.

I do not know if things have changed but a while back I was told to do a spectrum scan on sat before doing a blind scan.

when I use the mover I turn loop on and so that the dish can be peaked with the single step mover;
come to find out you can't use the "picker" or what I call the "cross-hairs" to enter a turning mode.
Turn loop off and all is fine.

UDL how do we build a manual for updateDVB?
Do we just post observations here?

I disable tuning while looping, the spectrum scan has to be able to change the tuner's freq, obvserve the signal strength, move on to another, etc etc. So that would interfere with tuning.

Its not required for a full blindscan, but is for a smart blindscan. When you do a spectrum scan it does a simple peak detector and makes a list of possible transponders, this is populated into tp_try, that array is used for smart blindscan.

The peak detector is really just guessing, many tuners now days (not all) will have a little leeway and the guesstimation is close enough to get a lock, then the actual frequency is returned from the tuner.

The picker just goes off the scale of the plot, the scale of the plot is automatically done by qwt based on the lowest value and the highest. So I do it in mhz because thats what the spectrum scan does it in. If I switched the scale to ghz it would be more like a bar graph then a plot haha. I havent found a way to make the picker in one resolution/scale and the plot in another.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed.
