Two major differences of the 5927, it will lock much lower SRs down to 200, the others are spec'd only to 1000. It also decodes ACM, VCM, Multi Input Stream and the others don't. Definitely the one to get for feed hunting/Dxing.

Maybe a lot more R+D went into the 5927 hence the higher price, or maybe they've just reduced the large profit margin on basic S2 cards now other modes have come along that they can charge premium prices for?

5927 doesn't support DVB-S2X but 5520SE does [wink]

Not true! The 5520SE supports MIS and PLS but not real ACM.

Curious what is real ACM?..So the 5520 will do regular ACM/VCM?..Will it play the Music Ch`s on Galaxy 13?. Very reasonable price for this tuner. Thanks for heads up and any comments.

5520SE, 5580 can receive all DVB-S/S2/S2X broadcast services + restricted DVB-S2/S2X VCM support (usual european multistreams with DTT muxes, optional setting PLS code supported). + most terrestrial/cable standard supported including upcoming DVB-C2. Scan capabilities for all standards supported, but satellite RFScan not very good ( or bad :-) ) + BlindScan usual good only with BLScan2().

5927 based on advanced STV0910ADB demod, have full support for DVB-S2 ACM/VCM + perfect scan capabilities. Usable only for DX "maniacs", no any real advantage from full ACM/VCM support (usual data VSAT services with generic continous stream and no way handle it).

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
