Steps to put the Octagon SF4008 into NTSC Mode

If you get your Octagon into the PAL mode or wrong resolution, you may not be able to get any video on your TV Set.  If you have a TV or computer monitor that can do both PAL and NTSC, then you will not have a problem, as once you have a picture, you can navigate the menu and set to what you want.

But for those of you that do not have that option, here are the steps to set the unit back into NTSC, compliments of one of our Super Moderators, JOE!  Thanks Joe!

reboot receiver from switch on back
screen will   go black,

press  menu arrow down 4 times, press ok
watch your front panel, see if it says video, if it does press ok again
panel should say basic settings, press ok
panel should say Hdmi
arrow down twice, toggle left or right, till You see 720p or 1080p
arrow down once
left or right arrow  till you get 60Hz
press green button to save
You should have a picture
If the Front Panel Asks if you want these changes, then press the green button again.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
