Hello, I have prof7500 USB, and I can't use SmartDVB with disecq 1.1 multiswitch. Other players work well. I tried latesr streamreader, Prof7500_Driver_2.0.0.7_W64_fixed, CrazyBDA driver but still the same result. Is there a patched BDA.dev for prof7500? Thanks..

I've found a way to get an 8x1 switch to work in SmartDVB.  When setting up your LNBs in SmartDVB, the switch setting is always -1 than the actual LNB you are using.

For example, if you have C-band on LNB-1 on your switch, it will be uncommitted lnb0 in SmartDVB.  If you have Ku-band on LNB-2 on your switch, it will be uncommitted lnb1 in SmartDVB.

I cannot get SmartDVB to blindscan with a 1.1 switch.  Nothing is ever found.  I don't know if a solution is available or not.  I have a Win10 x64 laptop with crazycat's drivers and I'm in test mode with his certificate installed.

I have tried that way before but nothing changed, in dvbviewer form, a guy had edited florian bda.dev for dvbworld and it had worked but it is deleted on dropbox. Still searching a solution. Thnks.

I forgot to mention that under Tools/Devices, I have to choose Florian (I think that's how it is spelled) in order to get video.  Using crazycat's driver under that selection I am unable to get any signal.

@Deviance. Not sure what your problem might be here. Make sure prof is selected as device type (tools >device settings). Does bda.log show actual DiSEqC commands being sent? If so try diseqc repeats or a delay, some switches react better to that (frequencies > add/edit frequencies, select the configured sat on the right list view to set DiSEqC repeats etc). Otherwise for the Prof7500 you could try CrazyCat's blindscan.dev or bdas.dev as device module (tools > devices, select the specific module, btw the 0.5.0 release does not install bdas.dev as selectable by default, but it's available in the transcoder folder, copy it to the devices folder and it should be selectable after such)

@big_hemi what device are you trying to use. For blindscanning blindscan.dev is used so the question would be if your device is supported by CrazyCat's streamreader.dll. If not you're out of luck, otherwise you could try upgrading your streamreader.dll to a newer version.

@deviance about your switch issues. Did you try placing a commited command (diseqc 1 in settings) before an uncommited command? (for example commited 0 to uncommited 0-3 for lnb 1-4, commited 1 to uncommited 0-3 for lnb 5-8. Or commited 0 to uncommited 0-8).

Like @deviance, I'm also using the Prof 7500.  I had no (or very few) issues with a Windows 7 x64 laptop, but I recently upgraded to Windows 10 x64 and can't seem to get it going with crazycat's patched drivers.

I have attempted using blindscan.dev to both tune a TP and blindscan without any success.  I am able to tune TP's on all my dishes using bda.dev, but it will not find anything on blindscan.

Are you able to provide a quick link to upgrade streamreader.dll?

Thank you for your continued support of SmartDVB and your dedication to the great people here at Rick's!

@ big_hemi, with CrazyBDA driver you can use blindscan. I can use it wit 4 ports diseqc setting, but with this driver, diseqc 1.1 doesn't work on dvbdream and dvbviewer. It works with Prof7500_Driver_2.0.0.7_W64_fixed driver.

@jackjavo, I tried it but just only port 1 works. When I try to scan other ports, it gets port 1's channels. Thnks.

Correct, this is what I am experiencing also.  The 4-port diseqc switch works fine, but the 8x1 does not.

Have you tried using raw commands deviance? Works fine with an 8x1 here.

I just gave this a try. I have an 8 port diseqC-1.1 switch plugged into a Prof7500 on my Win-XP-32 machine.  I just tried to blind scan on that, and got zero transponders/channels.  When I do a scan of previously entered transponders, it scans them in fine.

Partly off topic, but related, as a comparison, I went to my Win-7-64 machine, where I have a fixed dish going to the "B" port on my TBS-6983. I'm not using any diseqC switch on this setup.
It didn't work, but then I noticed that the blindscan window indicated that I was using port "A" instead of port "B".  I looked through the blindscan window, and couldn't find any way to select port "B".
So I fed the passthru from my Prof7500 into port "A", and blindscan did work fine there, since I'm not selecting any 1.0 or 1.1 switch.
But unless I'm really missing something, it seems like the blindscan window must be ignoring the setup defined in the frequencies-add tab where I selected florian and then TBS-6983-B.  I haven't tried any other drivers.

I've been setting the device driver to "Crazycat blindscan device" for the 6903 which seems to work fine so far. I could not get reliable results from using the florian driver.

I do have one 6-port diseqc switch and I have not really had issues with. Make sure you select the device (6903 or what ever device you are using) port (0 or 1) for each satellite in the "frequencies"/"add-edit freqiency list" that you have selected. If you don't it chooses the last used port which may be the wrong one depending on how your system is set up. Diseqc starts with 0 and goes to 5... had to figure that one out when I installed the switch too.

I'm using windoze 8.1 64bit.

I think you're spot-on wejones.  I'm not really sure how to bypass or adjust that.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/crazyscan/files/?source=navbar This is the sourceforge site where CrazyCat keeps his updates. Not sure whats happening with these Prof7500 on w10 systems, did any of you also try bdas.dev for the 7500? You might want to check bda.log or blindscan.log to see if the actual DiSEqC messages are getting through. The blindscan.dev sends raw commands for those 8/1 switches which should be seen in the blindscan.log, for bda.dev bda.log if the correct commands are there for the switch it's worth looking at delays/repeats. Re deviance. Did you also try a different combo. Commited 1, uncommited 1 for lnb 1, commited 2, uncommited 2 for lnb 2... commited 1, uncommited 5 for lnb 5 etc. Read someone had configured that switch like that. This is presuming there is no app/driver error somewhere. Also try adding delays before and after the commands. And perhaps especially with the commited commands some repeats. Re wejones. Regarding the A/B switching with blindscan.dev, there might be a bug there which always would use port b on a toneburst switch. I could send you a blindscan.dec to see if this is resolved now. So this might be unrelated to those other 8/1 swich issues.
edit: re gfm, about the 6903 and bda.dev, did you check tools > device settings, and make sure 'tbs new interfaces' is selected there? Those interfaces should be best for tbs devices.

Jack,
Went to check above recommendation, can't get device settings to display for some odd reason. I am positive I had selected "new TBS interfaces" when I last updated/configured SmartDVB, but I can not verify that. Will re-boot the system and see if that corrects the menu issue. If not maybe a re-install...
App is still working fine other than this little issue (as far as I have found in the last few minutes).
