I have a very strange problem with the new SF-4008 receiver. I made all the hard connections to the inputs and outputs. Rechecked everything and as I plugged in the power, it started to boot. So I said OK, they left the power switch in on. I set the TV to HDMI and got a NO SIGNAL. Rechecked the cable and everything was right.  Maybe the box is set to 4K only and this TV was not 4K. I turned off power (with switch this time) and pulled off all cables and moved to the 4K TV. Turned it on and it booted to a screen in German (which I know nothing of) with only one word I understand: “HDMI”. Well I clicked OK on the remote and the screen went blank. Then the TV said NO SIGNAL and my green light went yellow on the TV (telling me no signal). OH BOY. I tried rebooting the power and it boots to an Octagon screen. The front panel says “Starting Linux TV” and then the TV goes blank again. The front panel now reads “Bouquet “US”.  I can scroll the front panel with the remote. But I can’t get anything on the TV. I tried making changes in the setup menu and OK and exiting but no on screen menus or TV at all. I am lost as to what I can do. Would a master reset help and how do you do it? Can someone help me!

I would try a computer monitor which may support any funky resolution you may have stumbled on to. At least enough to restore the video settings to some defaults anyway.

That was something I was thinking of, but could not find anything on the front panel that would help me change that.

ADDED Later:
Joe, one of the things that lead me to believe it might not be a Pal mode is the startup screen is a clean logo screen. Pal usually looks distorted.

Try this after boot up
screen will   go black,
press  menu arrow down 4 times, press ok
watch your front panel, see if it says video, if it does press ok again
panel should say basic settings, press ok
panel should say Hdmi
arrow down twice, toggle left or right, till You see 720p or 1080p
arrow down once
left or right arrow  till you get 60Hz
press green button to save
You should have a picture

Let me know, if this don't

YES Joe! It did work. I have the display screens back for the menu. Without the screen in setup, I had no idea the green button was the save button. The quick instruction was not clear on what color was used for save. You need the on-screen display to show you what to use. Now that I know it will not be a problem. One added step was needed to get the screen back. The front panel asked if I wanted these changes. Pressing the green button again saved and returned the on-screen menu.  I went back in and ran the same setup again and was not ask to verify the save. I am thinking, I was asked to verify because of a major change in the setup. Thanks again Joe. You were right on!

Rick, you may want to edit the extra step in.

To test my theory, I connected a 1080p HDMI cabled TV to the receiver and went back into setup and changed res.  Mode to 2160p and sure thing it went blank after saving it. The real test was changing it back to 1080p. I save it with the green button and it asked to verify again. Upon hitting the green button the menu came back. So, sometimes the system will ask you to confirm what you saved.
