Is there anything on these TP's? The first one I have 81% Strength and 31% Quality but no lock and the second 78% Strength and 21% Quality. It could be that my slimline dish is simply to small but I thought I would check here first

Okay then it must be my dish is too small, no matter what I do neither of them will lock. I get a lock on 17600 H 30000 NBC (79 Str and 36  Quality) and the 11943 V 20000  Russia Today (79% and 27%)

I have had trouble with the the NBC feeds as you described. I upgraded from a 30 in dish to a 40x43 in dish (picked it up for free last weekend) and now have the following:
  • 11760 - Horizontal - 30000 - 5/6 - 8PSK (SNR: 10.3 dB, RFLevel: -52 dBm)
  • 11880 - Horizontal - 30000 - 5/6 - 8PSK (SNR: 9.7 dB, RFLevel: -52 dBm)
  • 11942 - Vertical - 20000 - 3/4 - QPSK (SNR: 11.8 dB, RFLevel: -52 dBm)
  • 12144 - Vertical - 20000 - 3/4 - QPSK (SNR: 12.2 dB, RFLevel: -52 dBm)
  • 12180 - Vertical - 25000 - 3/4 - QPSK (SNR: 11.7 dB, RFLevel: -52 dBm)

The horizontal feeds are 8PSK so they are touchy vs the Vertical QPSK feeds. Very slight adjustments make a large difference, especially on the small reflectors.

I took my tv out to the dish ( 27in CRT) and I sat there and I could get the Quality as high 37% on both but no matter how slight turns on the fine tuning screws neither would lock I get locks on 11760, 11943, 12145, and 12185 all with at least 27%Q so i'm out of ideas besides finding a larger dish

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
