I know the shop went offline some time ago but I've just found that the website is no more so now would be a good time to back up any drivers you have. Compared to some of the more recent cards the Profs lack a few bells and whistles but I've never felt like I was missing too much and they always represented good value for money. They were my first real step into feed hunting so it's a little sad to know they've gone.

This was TBS, so we can assume that they still exist [wink] You can check Prof drivers signatures - all final releases signed by TBS [wink]

As far as I remember Prof Tuners was at beginning some OEM deal between Russian guy (Stepan) and TBS as OEM producer, but at some point they went into conflict. Prof Tuners brand was taken by TBS, russian guy set up new brand AdvanceTune, but probably never released any cards. Good ol' times [wink]

F
unny thing is that at beginning I didn't knew about this and for some time I have talked with both Prof and TBS separately. Maybe even the same person replied to me as both companies - lol [biggrin]

Learn something new every day! With regard to the 9000 card, I thought that was vapourware from Advancetune/Prof-Tuners (with the extra -)?

I use my prof7500 every day since 2010. Great piece of equipment happily purchased from Rick.

I wonder whatever happened to Stephan, I used to talk to him all the time but then I got some strange emails about him and his partner is disagreement, he was making all kinds of odd allegations, then went off air and never heard from him again. I tried emailing him but he never responded.

Whatever he's upto I wish him the best.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
