Run / Regedit and follow

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\DeviceClasses\{FD0A5AF4-B41D-11D2-9C95-00C04F7971E0}\##?#PCI#VEN_14F1&DEV_8852&SUBSYS_30348000&REV_02#4&654D715&0&00E1#{fd0a5af4-b41d-11d2-9c95-00c04f7971e0}\#{5ea9c066-1dfe-41c5-a2de-bf766e83c98e}\Device Parameters

you can see the prof7301 parameters there. you should delete Device Parameters (only)

Hi!

Is it possible to buy Prof8000 or 7500 USB? I didn't find Prof cards on Ebay or Aliexpress. Only TBS :-(

The owner / sponsor of this forum, has the 8000's in stock:  http://www.rickssatelliteusa.com/pciusbreceivers.htm  [smile]

EDIT:  Thanks Bluzee, had a senior moment this morning and he is correct, no more 7500's!

The 7500 is no longer available anywhere.  For a USB STV0900 chip  device Rick still has the TBS5925 which is more pricey but can do the 16/32 APSK stuff.  The TBS 5980 is very similar to the 7500, unfortunately Rick does not stock those.  I think all the Prof products are now discontinued and limited to stock on hand.

@okidokios & @fisherman1971 - I got same situation with Prof8000, but on Windows 10 x64. No data at any app, only AltDVB with Dev_Prof.int is working. Signal is OK everywhere, but no data.

I didn't had Prof 7301 and this should not be a problem, but I had TBS 6925 and I'm using also AverMedia C127 card which I need so I cannot swithc it off [frown]

Any tip?

EDIT: Update - I deleted key mentioned by @fisherman1971 despite it has got Prof8000 data. After device reset looks like it is fixed and data is available at any DVB app, not only AltDVB [biggrin] Thanks [biggrin]

Thanks!  I just put together my old PC with Windows 10 and the PROF DVB S2 8000; installed the W8.1 driver from PROF; deleted the key component as you suggested and it now works!

Can I add my thanks to Fisherman for sorting this one out. I thought my 8000 was dead after installing W10 as I could lock signals but got no information from them. My last hope was a search on here and voila! All sorted now with both the 8000 and 7301 working fine in W10. Anyone care to explain what exactly the problem is and why the regedit fixes it?

I have the same problem. Signal but no data with an Prof7301 on window 10 Creators Update, until now I use Win 7 and worked perfect.
I use the same method: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\DeviceClasses\{FD0A5AF4-B41D-11D2-9C95-00C04F7971E0}\##?#PCI#VEN_14F1&DEV_8852&SUBSYS_30348000&REV_02#4&654D715&0&00E1#{fd0a5af4-b41d-11d2-9c95-00c04f7971e0}\#{5ea9c066-1dfe-41c5-a2de-bf766e83c98e}\Device Parameters
and then delete Device Parameters folders but Smartdvb application crash instant. What I'm doing wrong?

Anyone getting lower signal levels with prof8000 compared to TBS? TBS has 98% level 83% quality with no packet losses and prof8000 has 87% level 66% quality and a couple of packet losses every minute or so. Both are using BDA.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
