Is that signal DVB-S2? And what size dish are you using? I have a standard Ku dish parked on 103w and can't pull any signal on 11978 V.

I have it as S2, but you can't trust the FEC using a Prem+ here, this is with a 6-ft dish with light rain here in Fla.

It is pretty stout here with a 1.2 Ch Master.Like captain mentioned with the AZ box + same applies here with the Vu..Dont trust the FEC.

FEC is definitely 3/4. That makes the min cnr ~ 7.9 dB.
Not quite as strong up here.

side by side comparison, prof 7500 has trouble with it, while my other el_cheapo device with Montage Chips does not. IF signals should be the same off of a splitter. Sometimes when signals are marginal, a better tuner/demod chipset indeed can help just enough.

Its a 1 meter dish. Don't go by the dish settings in my signature, as I've moved some things around. Last time I checked, still didn't have a signal here in SW MO.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
