Not sure if somebody mentioned this already, but any of you remember the 2 guys that sold satellite gear?  Like feedhorns, used receivers, actuators, cable ties, anything and everything and you would call in to buy.  They were so funny because he was yell back saying "come on, you guys know you need this stuff, call now" and then he would throw it and say "forget it, lets go to another item".  I think it was called green something.  This was in the mid to late 80s.

Another was watching world series live when the earthquake hit.  I thought the dish fell off the actuator for a second.

One more fav.  MTV Spring Break when it was live.  So funny and Remote Control TV show, the guy that was the MC would curse back at the crowed for throwing stuff on stage during when it was live and people would yell curse words.  I wanted to skip school to watch it all week!

Bingo I could not think of his name, I had heard his wife has taken over, but those were the days, when you were trying to line up your dish to Spacenet 2 and you saw him you knew where you were.

my folks would watch all of the football games on Sunday in 1980 or 81..sometimes they would find a game that they liked and stick with it..they used to tape games off that dish on a 6 hour tape.. those kind of tapes existed back then

That was Shawn Kenny and the "Green Sheet" program. I was a faithful watcher, tuned in one night and there was a crawl across the screen saying Sean had died earlier that day by falling off of a roof. It was a very sad day. They tried to continue the show after his death but it didn't last long. Sean made the show, he was very passionate about the backyard industry.

oh my gosh, that is the show, but didnt know about his death.  I was just a kid when that was on, but if I was older with a full time job, I would be broke!  I wanted almost everything that was shown.  I just did an update on his name and the show and there are some youtube videos! Thanks for the update gopher!

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
