I used to stop for a beer after work and would drink for free already knowing the answers to all the jeopardy Qs and Wheel puzzles. After some time I informed every one how I was so smart and bought rounds for all.

ABC was leitch encrypted in the early 90's. You could hear the programming but not see it. I don't remember college football specifically but NFL MNF and primetime were scrambled most nights. MNF backhauls were scrambled in the 90's. I don't remember cfb. ABC/ESPN CFB didn't start scrambling recently on backhauls until FOX decided in 2010.

Well, my first receiver was home made. It was the Taylor Howard Receiver, I did buy the printed circuit boards and had a great deal of help from a local ham operator that tuned my 70 Mhz IF section. He also built my first feed horn, which was rotated by an ota antenna rotator, that was set on a movable tripod stand.

The first antenna was a 12 foot spherical that I made. For those of you are not familiar with type of antenna, you moved the feed to different positions for different satellites.

The very first signal, other than space noise, was Burns and Allen on the CBN Network. Was an exciting moment, getting your first fruit from something you had constructed.

Have had many different things since then, including a hiatus due to convenience of Dish. Came back into things spring of 2014. Saw something about FTA on the Internet and here I am back and loving it.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
