So long as you pay union wages and offer 401K and medical it sounds great.

I have worried just where one should put that much money if they did win and I found the answer.

Because they are paying such low interest and to avoid paying for a bad money manger I would buy a large track mounted backhoe. Then dig many holes around the backyard. After putting a few million into each hole then cover it up and place a large floating slab of cement over each money pit and then mount a large sat dish onto each slab.

The dish location marks where you have your "savings" underground and if anyone tries to move around the cement slab to get your money, well loosing the lock from that sat dish warns you someone is messing around with your money pit!

A video room full of big monitors and if any of the pictures start breaking up you just "sent out the dogs" to chase who ever is out there away. A person could also with that much money start up big dish production again and then just give the new big dishes away to FTA type people. Of course remind those lucky folks to get their new receivers and such from Ricks or their dish may get collected up. Every one would win. Any way if I had a few extra million -------

Well fell asleep right before the drawing. Awake to hear the bad news about the stock market. Then heard I think about three possible power ball winners. Checked my numbers and I "had" all the numbers. But each correct number was on a different line on my tickets. Well least I lost nothing in the stock market because I was broke before the power ball drawing. When back to sleep and dreamed about big sat dishes and how they keep finding me---for free.

Another drawing this Saturday--one million will have to be enough.

can't believe powerball drawings are still analog.  Is Iowa the land that time forgot?  [wink]  -- or alternately, which old fart needs an analog signal to take the lottery feed?

I figure by now all the TV stations have so many digital receivers and are versed in using them that getting a digital coordinate and tuning in the signal should be no big deal.

The analog feed for Powerball drawings is mainly for backup, from what I understand. The primary feed (digital & HD) for the drawings is:

SES-2 (87°W)
12051/V/4800

I've also seen Powerball in HD digital somewhere else, I think 103W....but I can't recall. I'll have to look for it again Saturday night.

When the jackpot gets kinda high, some of the affiliate stations feed pops up.  I recall seeing some of the drawings on NBC affiliates on SES-3 and CBS on Galaxy 16.  I'm not sure if I've actually seen the actual powerball feed though.

I've def seen the actual Powerball feed. It's pretty cool, they show a countdown, and then they also repeat it once or twice.

Edit: this is the correct main Powerball feed that was mentioned above:
SES-2 (87°W)
12051/V/4800
(however on my tuner it is 12049 V 4798)

that is WFSU-TV Lottery HD which is the studio where Powerball is actually drawn in Tallahassee, FL.
