Looking into purchasing an esata hard drive for my ota recordings.Just wondering what other members are using for hard drives that work well with the 9200? Anyone tried a docking station for this?

Thanks in advance.

Western digital Caviar drive inside an Antec case. Also have a program that will transfer the video to your computer..   Have a great day!

500 gig. Big enough for me since I can save to the computer.

It's a program that a guy by the name of ACDER sent me a couple years ago and told me to distribute. It is called 9200PVR. I have a copy along with a set of instructions. I posted it at the sites I used to frequent, but alot of them have long since vanished. Not sure if I posted it here.... can't remember. I just saw it not too long ago when I was going through and sorting files.

This is a program that allows the transfer of video files from the Pansat 9200 to your computer. All credit goes to my friend ACDER. Enjoy!

NOTE: The instructions with the program say that anESATA port is needed for the computer. If you have a combo case like I do that has USB connections also, that can be used for the transfer if you don't have an ESATA on your computer.   Have a great day!

This program looks like a docking station at the 9200 and a docking station at the puter would be ideal?

I couldn't tell ya. All I and others have done is drag the HD to the computer and plugged in the cable. I had a SATA port on my desktop, so there was no connection issues. Then last Christmas, I got divorced and the ex got the desktop so I used the USB port on my laptop. I really don't see where the program would not work with any connection as long as it was fast enough. Cable, station, however one wants to connect. I originally put the file out in 08. I have never had any problems reported with people not being able to transfer files with any hookup. Hope this helps you.

I ended up purchasing a Antec MX-1 enclosure with built in fan and a Hitachi 500 GB 7200 rpm HD.Quality of the Antec is top notch.I bought this 9200 from Rick 2 yrs ago and wish I had this setup from day 1! It is without a doubt the best recording box I have compared to AZPlus,AZElite and Cooly 8100.

I tried 1 of the ABC HD net feeds on G3c which I have had no luck at all with the AZ playing back.9200 played back just fine. All HD ota no prob.

Thanks again stone..

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
