I recorded it with AZME using the 3/18/16  Openspa.....I have not had a chance to play with azme running your image. Will try in a minute.

The minime running your image:
easy media player : played it with the meta data     ....   would not play it without the meta data.

AZPLAY: played both with and without meta data.

Hope this helps!

I tested a sans 120 gb drive that is basically a bunch of sd cards put together. It didnt have any real impact on recording...so it is not drive speed as far as I know..it must be in the kernel. Hopefully this can get ironed out and CBS can be recorded...if you can pull this off you will be admired on this site for sure!!!!![smile]

Hi mountaineer,
i've gone a blindscan with the default settings over my two main sats 19.2 and 28.2 and didn't really find anything with high bitrates. So i doubt that without having anything failing on my box that there is much I can do in terms of trying to resolve the recording issue. (if it even can be resovled).

But i'll have another look at the ts files next week. Maybe we can get them to play without meta data (busy prepping daughters birthday atm).

jack Javo (smartdvb)  said the following "
11585 V 27500 8PSK this hotbird frequency has a very high bitrate which caused problems on a tevii with him 68+ mbit that might be good enough,  it for sure overwhelmed his tevii"
Hopefully this is still up and you can get it. Maybe it will help diagnose the minime/me recording issue. [smile]

Thank you for working on this!!!!!

thanks for that
according to http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-13E.php the transponder bitrate is 68.2 Mbps
and there is 11565 with bitrate 65.1 Mbps .

I'll check if i can get those.

there are some transponders with bitrate in the high 50s on 19.2e, but they are all encrypted or UHD test channels.
and 28.2 is all crammed.

From JJ

have a reply from that tevii user with problems with high bitrate issues:
23E 12381 H 30000 8PSK (79.4 bitrate)

13E 11585 V 27500 8PSK

Hope that helps as well. Thanks!!!

quick update..

I've committed the python patches to oatv. should be in next official 6.0 nightly beta (tomorrow?)
substantial changes were made to the servicemp3 code and the mediasink code. I haven't caught up with those for Azbox. so mediaplay back could be broken because of that.

will try and update the azbox sink asap.

oh and I did some MetrixHD screens for AZPlay... Azplay is broken atm, waiting for my pull request to be merged... then it should work again.

mountaineer , got E13 working again ,but can't seem to get anything on 11585 . Neither with Azbox nor the Octagon.. darn.

I think this is the last known version and kernel to work on recording. Maybe you can see if there are changes etc in rec ?   Cant find version for minime any help is appreciated..Thanks for all you are doing!

Ok I tried somethting new just to see....I used a network mount as  an hdd replacement...using kernel 3.92 on azminime. So that takes the usb HDD connection out of the picture...the network replacement was the internal sata drive of my azme. The recording lasted just as long as if it was connected to usb HDD  about 10-15 seconds. Maybe that is useful information or maybe not. It is either a kernel issue or a memory issue.
Thanks!

hi. thanks for trying.
since that openrsi image pretty much everything has changed..
I've been searching a bit on 13E. and the highest bitrate channel i could find has between 9.5 and 11mbps (using bitrate viewer plugin).
Not sure how accurate that is. everything else was shown as 3mbps or less.

Could you install bitrate viewer from the feed, (under extension) . I'd be curious what it shows for the CBS feed
i've put it onto a long key press hotkey, so i can launch it easily while zapping..
otherwise its in the extension menu (long blue)

just looking at high bitrate transponder  , doesn't mean the channels are high bitrates.

Did a few recordings with the ME and so far no failure recording the 10-11Mb/s channel.

would you have any short CBS recording you did with the older kernel, i'd like to have a look at the media info of the file.
or the 10-15 sec you do manage with current kernel, does that play and could you upload sample as well?

one other interesting observation unrelated to the recording problem..
When I play the recording  bitrate viewer reports around 2 mbps bitrate .even though the file is actually 11 mbps (as per media info)
when playing same on the octagon, bitrate viewer shows the 10-11 mbps..
the box seems to record at full bitrate, but isn't playing it back...

Here is a 1min recording of CBS made last night...that is all it would record....3.9.2 kernel openrsi 3...about the same amount of time the Openatv 6.0 you posted records. SO I assume they are close to the same.

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1u59qabmk48dta0/AADhiSnWxXtwmfatXqgYU31Ma?dl=0

I am going to load the 3.3.1 kernel back on and try it again....had the most success with it.

Thanks again!!!

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
