Good deal bogie.

Just keep in mind that these are Alpha images to OpenATV so many things will not work.  In addition to that all other OpenATV images are for MIPS processors and the Wetek uses an ARM v7.  Plugins that are made for MIPS will not function properly for ARM processors either.  I would stay away from installing any plugins and just concentrate of satellite TV for now as that's what they are doing.  Multimedia is not their main concern either so that isn't working for video now.

Yes there is a small white box in the upper left corner.  I believe that is from an unregistered codec for the video.

If I have the image's video set to 1080p 60 Hz I get a solid line at the very bottom of the screen (maybe an inch or so)  where the color will change depending on what is the dominant color on the screen at the time.  To fix that I set mine to 720p 60 Hz and the line is gone.

Also 4x3 video is always stretched.

I can't also get the yellow button number 3 to change the APID.

As far as the remote use the <--- button on the bottom right to toggle between the number and color buttons.   When in color button mode 1-4 will be used for the 4 different colors in the same order they are on other remotes red, green, yellow, blue.

Wetek also has a Enigma 2 IF remote they have on their website they are now selling.  It will only work for the Enigma 2 images and is totally IF.  I would wait to see how they perfect the images once they go into Beta.

OpenATV  highly recommends not updating when using the Alpha builds but to do a clean install.  Loss of functionality for some things can occur if not.  I know that I have gotten no tuner installed after and update.

You could back up your setting if need be.  I haven't tried that yet so if you do backup and reload and it works please share.

Emil

bogie,

Did you do an online update?  If so only do a fresh install as highly reccomended by the OpenATV team.

Todays image 7/2 has great praise for picture quality improvements in HD and SD.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
