Thank, you ftasat. You have pointed out the obvious here! [thumb] I have no idea how I ended up with the wrong link all this while. I will download and reinstall from the new link and report back.

Edit: All is well now!!! I'm sorry for any confusion this may have created. Thanks, everyone!!! [comp] [smile]

There is no Media Center on this image, and I can't find the plugin in the download area or on TSPanel.

There is a media player in the plugins menu that will play movies for sure.  I hadn't tried any other type of media so far.

With all LOFs set to 10600 in the "Reception Settings", what are the start and stop frequencies set when doing a blind scan with a Linear LNB on KU?

As long as you're using a Universal LNB and if you only want to search North America frequencies, I set the "tone" to "ON" in my satellite settings, and use the range 11700-12200.  Thanks to whoever originally posted this a while back.  Sure saves a lot of time!

Also, the default symbol rate is 1000 (01) -45000 (45).  Sometimes I reduce the end number to 33000 (33), although I'm not sure how much time that really saves.

Emil, before I upgrade, do you know if this version was fixed to scan in channels with no SDT?

Thanks!

Based on my scan of G16 C-Band @ 99.0°W the scan misses one of the ABC Muxes, I forget which now, but it can be added manually. It misses (KRBK-TV) 3720H 8700SR, and when you add it manually the second channel on that mux "MeTV Ozarks" doesn't scan in. Those are the notables, and others I can't remember now. I can't comment on the other C-band Sats, as the actuator on my Dish is currently not working.

Yes, I scanned 24W over here in the UK and it missed one or two, back to the old open ATV methinks

Is it scanning in some that are missing the SDT, or it won't scan them in at all?

I have version 3.8.2 and it will miss a few now and then.  Like on Galaxy 19 (97W) it will sometimes only scan in SID2 on the CBS channels instead of both SID1 and SID2.

I reverted back to version 3.0, Kernel 3.3.1. I will revisit 4.0 in the future.

Version 3.8.2?  Do you mean kernel 3.9.2?  Since OpenATV 3.1 and kernel 3.9.2 it misses channels with no SDT.  Since OpenATV 4.0 still uses kernel 3.9.2 it behaves the same way.

It will miss the CBS channels on G-28C/G-19C all together.  Same goes for both KRBK channels on G-16C since all have no SDT.

What I did was to use my channel list from OpenATV 3.0 that was using kernel 3.3.1 and just keep all those channels that it will miss using kernel 3.9.2 and delete the rest.  I also kept the locals that you have to manually enter in on G-16C or any other channels that I have renamed and locked.  This way when I blindscan it will find any other channels that have an SDT.

OpenATV 3.0 using kernel 3.3.1 is still the best for blind scanning since it won't miss the channels with no SDT.  Until The Ripper (hopefully) fixes that issue and if the ME is your only receiver that has blindscan I'd stick with OpenATV 3.0.

OpenATV 4.0 is still in beta but other than the SDT issue it works very well.  The media player is very basic but so far works well.  I downloaded AZplay for OpenATV 3.0 and that works great in that image for multimedia files.  I downloaded Azplay from the plugin menu in OpenATV 4.0 and it will start but doesn't play any files unfortunately.

I have not reinstalled Version 4.0, Kernel 3.9.2, but will like to know if there are any updates on the SDT and other issues?

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
