Anything new in the past several months?  I've seen some work being done which would seem to suggest that TBS5925 is working to some extent in certain E2 images.

Do we at least know which libraries/drivers need to be compiled into OpenATV or OpenESI firmwares to theoretically make a TBS tuner visible to the system?

I see on LegitFTA that the latest OpenATV firmware might have support for the TBS5925.  I did the
Code:

opkg update
opkg install kernel-module-stv090x

but thel command
Code:

lsmod

does not show the device as having been loaded.

Is stv090x correct for the TBS5925?
Do I have to do something else to get the module to load at start-up?

Any help would be appreciated.  From what I've read it would seem that we may be on the brink of being able to use a USB tuner with our Me's!

Thanks.

EDIT:

I also copied dvb-usb-tbsqbox-id5925.fw to /lib/firmware/ but still no TBS5925 tuner on boot-up (tuner is attached).  Do I need to compile these changes into the kernel somehow, or do I need to install more kernel modules than the lone stv090x I tried above?

My understanding is that the 5925 and other new TBS devices and atsc devices will not work on 3.92 kernel for azzbox me and may never work due to no new kernels coming out for it. i could be wrong. The .fw file need to be in the lib\firmware...then here are the packages..I could not get them all to load when trying to get the 5980 to work with me. i have only gotten the prof 7500 and the genpix to work on azboxes. This info is courtesy of legitfta and el bandido:

ou may also try to put the firmware file for your device in lib/firmware, then manually load the modules listed below.

opkg update
opkg install kernel-module-stv090x
opkg install kernel-module-stb6000
opkg install kernel-module-tda10071
opkg install kernel-module-cx24116
opkg install kernel-module-stb6100

Device should be listed in console when you enter lsmod.
root@vuduo2:~# lsmod

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
