Hey Pops, ?'s
How come WGN uses different parameters for NHL from MLB? Why the different transponder?

This I do not know Mr. Mike.  As you know, I do have a source that gives me broadcast details, but they are not privy to the reasons why WGN uses different satellites or frequencies.  Does this one present a reception problem for you?

I got the baseball feed for one season then after that it was only now and then, mostly then. After I put up the 10 footer both of these signals plus the Bulls signal is very strong.

Tonight's feed is up and strong for me (85% quality).  4:04 pacific time

My experience with these WGN feeds has been good here in Oregon.  I can always get them, but signal strength does vary.  I think maybe Hockeynut said once that G19 can be problematic for some areas of the country much like AMC 15 and SES 3 (NBC backhauls) can be for me.

Thanks Mike. Took some trying to get the right Modulation and FEC. I get a lock but, nothing scans in for some reason. Oh well, game is over anyhow.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
