Has anyone tried the new f/w that fixes the ch problems for fox and nbc on gal-4?  Jess   Edit: looks like there is even a newer f/w that may have a clock fix.  v413 I think.

I'm running the 4.31 firmware now. I have been using it for a couple weeks now and it works fine. I haven't had any major problems with it, but there have been a couple times when the receiver just rebooted on its own for no reason I could see. As for the clock it works now,  but when it reboots you have to reset it.

Thanks Ksmike;  I'll install the new f/w.  I think I'll delete everything before installing the new f/w as suggested on an another forum.  Last time I installed f/w, I saved ch's and put them back in.  This time I think I'll start from scratch with new blind scans.  I think I will write down the existing sat and transponder list though.     This has been a very good box, and the support is very forthcomming.  I also have an az which I've been using for the ch's on g-4.  Jess

It is ALWAYS a good idea to backup your current firmware, and channel list before you start. I don't see anything to worry about though as far as the new firmware is concerned. It's just easier to be safe in the long run.

The Linkbox doesn't have the built in servo outputs. It does have an RF output that would be nice to have for distribution. I'm afraid the firmware would be "confused" if you tried it.

It got me wondering if I can stick a ch. 3/4 modulator in my pansat 9500 though... I got about half a dozen of them laying around.

This is off topic though, so another thread would be in order, to continue.

I upgraded from a Pansat 9200+s2 to the Pansat 9500 model about 2 months ago & love it.  The Pansat 9200 was a nice receiver, except for the tuner freeze up issues it had from time to time.
When I received the Pansat 9500, it had the 4.31 firmware and frozen up on a networks channel on day one. The very next day, I updated the f/w to V438 and have not had any issues. Also, I moved the servo controls on my 10 ft. bud from my Motorola DSR922 (dish mover) to the Pansat 9500.  I really like the servo option on the Pansat 9500, in addition to the faster, overall H/V blind search speed.
For what it is worth, in my opinion, the Pansat 9500 beats my AZBOX Ultra in picture quality while viewing the eScape channel - using HDMI input cables on each receiver and going to my new Sony 52" HD tv. I'm only use my AZBOX Ultra for 4:2:2 channels - the Pansat 9500 for everything else.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
