HN, does CBC still use 107 W Ku for their DSNG feeds? Those were always mpeg2 4:2:2,
but I don't think there were any full time. Might have to look there ~ the evening news, or in primetime
to find one there hot? I think they might, on Horiz in the center of the band... looks like some empty space
without DC2 signals from shaw, so there may still be room for them there these days.

Thanks majortom. Was thinking the same thing and scanned that bird earlier and none of those 4:2:2 feeds popped up.Had 6 tp`s saved in the AZ with a SR of 5859.Guess CBC not using mpeg2 4:2:2 anylonger for there feeds.

The western CBC trucks are set for 4:2:2 DVB mpeg2. Have to wait for them to go on the road though, has to be something national or international to send them out for... Budget cuts & all...

The CBC/SRC trucks that have been upgraded with HD encoders now typically use 4:2:0 MPEG-4. I've seen such feeds from the Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, and Winnipeg trucks. A couple of them have also used 4:2:2 MPEG-4, though. Most of the time, the only remaining 4:2:2 MPEG-2 feeds are for when a standard definition return path feed is put up so people in the field can see what's going out on air.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
