I've had a Linkbox 8000 Local for about a week now and all seems well with this box.

The tuner seems to be a bit weak but my other receivers can handle it if the Linkbox can't.

The only thing I can't figure out is how to add pids manually.

The specs say "Powerful Channel Editing Function(Favorite,Move,Find,Sort,Delete,Skip,Lock,Edit,Create)".

I can find all the functions except Create.

Anyone have any experience with this box and know how to do it?  No description in the manual.

Thanks.

I have a 8000plus and in the TP list & Search, there is the option to take a transponder in the list and add PIDs manually. The transponder has to be in the list first to do this.Hope that helps.

I have an Local and it's the same, go into:
Menu / Installation / Satellite Setup / TP List & Search / make sure your satellite is correct, highlight the frequency you want, click OK, highlight PID Scan, then right or left click, make your change and highlight and click OK

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
