Has anyone here ever made a claim on insurance for hail damage to a BUD? I plan to bundle mine in. Agency said rates will definitely go up next year in my area regardless, because of all the hail claims. So I may as well make a claim for my roof, the gutters other building and everything else. I even lost an anemometer. That was a whole $5.00 for the replacement parts.

What was your experience, anyone get help from property insurer on a BUD?

Check and see what your policy says (or contact your agent). The policies usually have something in there about external stuff like storage sheds etc. I checked with my agent a few years about about coverage on my 65ft tower that I have my amateur radio antennas on and it's covered as well.

My agent says I'm covered for a replacement.

With some insurance companies it might matter whether or not it was attached to the main/house structure.

KOSMO,

Sent you the specs and price for a commercial 4 panel solid Prodelin 3.0M, but they are over 2K and have to ship by Truck line, so doubt that Insurance will go for that.

Only Mesh Dishes I am aware of is Tek2000 in Canada and some folks here have purchased from them with scattered success.  I was told that their mount requires a 4" OD pole.

There was a dealer in FL that said he had 10' and 12' Mesh dishes in stock and I sent a customer there, only to find out that he had the dish drop shipped from Tek2000 and he thought he was getting a 3 1/2" OD Mount and had to make an adaptor.  Not sure how that ended up.

The Prodelin takes a 6.62" OD Pole.

Good Luck.  Hope you find something and they take care of you.

Rick

Kosmo....won't the claims agent ask you for proof of purchase and the price you
paid for the dish?

recently, i just settled up a claim for some damage for my moms home, and the claims agent wanted
info regarding the price for several things that were destroyed by high winds in a storm that downed some trees........

just askin'....

You're half right the claims agent needs to know the replacement cost.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
