I wonder if you could get short term liability insurance for something like that to show the business owner? I know a bar close to work that has 3 mounted on poles attached to the building so the dish is above the roof line. They appear to be in good shape.

Doug...i think the building owners are concerned about someone leaving holes in their roofs....

i understand that....

and of course if someone fell....well you know...

i have 4 Buds in use right now and i never have taken one off a housetop
or building but i probably would......

i have a 7.5  i spotted on the roof of a house guys were going to RE-shingle..
owner didn't want it

THE ROOFERS took it down for me....it was great...

maybe just go by and inquire.....never know till ya do..

True... never hurts to inquire. I'm going to get up and personal with them to see what kind/size dishes they are. From the roadway (they are on the back side of the building) they appear to be 10ft but since they have been there for at least 20 years, I need to see what condition the hardware is.

for the right price and proof of liability insurance...money changes everything. Most don't have liability or workman's comp of their own. I had both until last Dec 15th. So you'd likely have to pay the guy that removes the BUDs as well as the property owner. But it's not impossible. There is one in a front yard south of MrBud not in use.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
