The specs say it can do 16apsk. However I don't see those numbers anywhere other than on the spec sheet so I don't know if there is a setting somewhere or what?  The advertising says it can, but whether it is or not I don't know.

Hi,

Yes the 8000's and 9000's can do 16APSK.  They play a lot of the 16APSK feeds, but recently there have been more and more 16APSK feeds with higher data rates and some receivers cannot play, even if they can scan them in.  Not sure about this one.

We are in about the 7th day of rain and it is raining hard right now and I cannot pull the signal in.  When doing a blind scan, it shows the signal at 11900 H 34286, but just not strong enough to be able to pull it in.

If receiving 30W, 87, 91, 97, 103, 105, 123, 125W every day (plus a few others) with a motorized dish has any bearing on 'spot on', I think I am. Could it be the Avenger PLL321S-2 Single Ku LNBF I am using?

After i send this I'm going back to Lyngsat to try and locate a 16APSK 'channel' on a KU sat and see if I can get it. So Far I haven't seen any.

Thanks,

All 3 streams are good  on the 9000
The only difference I'm seeing from the other night is the bitrate is 90.7 tonight vs 102 when it wouldn't play

Today (Thursday) I was able to tune into the Canada - Finland game. However to do so I had to change the satellite location in the box back and forth by tenths of degrees to finally settle on AMC 15 being at 104.5W instead of 105W.

Since I'm about to ask some alignment questions I'll continue in another forum.

In the meantime thanks for putting up with my posts.

The Bit Rate is likely the difference.  At least that is what the Icecrypt Engineers said was the problem the last time they looked at the first stream you did for us.

We sent the other recording to them as well and they said they are trying to see what they can do to handle the higher bit rates.

Thanks for your help Chris!

I don't understand a word of what you all are talking about, but this feed is coming in fine on the Linkbox 9000. I am no longer disappointed. Thanks.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
